India KYC - Kupe

Kupe-managed Plivo numbers: US can be purchased immediately. India requires an accepted compliance application first. Do this in the console: Phone numbers → Add number → India → Start verification. Document upload is dashboard-only.

What to submit

KYC is under your business (not Kupe’s):

Plivo reviews the packet. Status is usually submitted for a few minutes, then accepted or rejected.

MCP buy_phone_number still needs confirm=true. If compliance is required and not accepted, purchase fails — finish KYC in the console. US numbers skip this. BYOK (your own Twilio / Plivo / Exotel) skips Kupe KYC because the number already lives on your account. See Phones for search, buy, and release.
